Allergies

Some of our products do contain allergens. You can find the full ingredients list of each product on every product page. If you are concerned about any allergies please contact us directly and we can advise whether our products would be suitable.

Are your products vegan and cruelty free?

All of our products are vegan and cruelty free.

It is illegal in the UK and Europe to test finished products on animals and we don't do it. We have also not registered our products for sale in mainland China, as animal testing is required by local authorities.

We make everything cruelty free in our warehouse - it's one of our core values here! So all of the products we make are never tested on animals. All our ingredients are also from 100% vegan sources.

Do you use Palm Oil?

We currently do not add palm oil as an ingredient in any of our products. However, some of the actives or functional ingredients we use are sometimes made from Palm Oil (some sucrose esters for example).

Some have already done so, but our suppliers are all switching to RSPO Palm Oil.

Are your products pregnancy friendly?

Please contact us and we can go through this with you in detail. There are a few ingredients such as Salicylic Acid which are not recommended in pregnancy, although the risk of any problems is very low.

Which fragrances do you use in your products?

We only use 100% natural fragrances. Some come from essential oils, natural extracts (cacao, vanilla), Flower Waters (orange flower, rose flower, cucumber water) and some are a natural blend of various materials (they can be essential oils or fractions of it isolates distillates resins). Each parfum in each product has a different blend of natural ingredients.

Discounts

Can I add a discount during a site wide promotion?

Unfortunately our offers cannot be used in conjunction with each other. Any discount codes will have to be used on a separate occasion if there is already a site-wide promotion/discount.

Nutritional Consultations

What is nutritional therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health and optimal wellbeing. Our registered Nutritional Therapists use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to your symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with you to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health.

Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine. It is relevant both for individuals looking to enhance their health and wellbeing and for those with chronic conditions wishing to work with or 'consult' a nutritional therapist in collaboration with other suitably qualified healthcare professionals.

What are Adaptology nutritional consultations for?

If you’re struggling with a specific skin condition or would just like help to look at improving your skin health and generally wellbeing holistically from the inside as well as out, our consultations are suitable for you.

How long is a nutritional consultation?

An initial consultation will last about 1-hour and will be held via zoom or over the phone. Follow-up consultations are 45-minutes again on Zoom or over the phone.

What happens during a nutritional consultation?

Before the initial consultation you’ll be asked to complete an online form to provide further information about your symptoms, medications and diet. During the initial consultation, our Nutritional Therapist will go over your answers and ask more questions to get a full understanding of your symptoms, your personal and family medical history and your current diet and lifestyle. This information will be used to create a personalised nutrition plan to suit your needs and lifestyle.

During a follow up consultation the Nutritional Therapist will assess how you’re getting on with the plan and make tweaks and changes as required.

What will I receive after the nutritional consultation?

After the consultation you will be emailed a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan. The plan will include: suggested changes to your diet such as foods to introduce more of, foods to reduce, functional foods to include etc. supplements recommendations, if required functional testing suggestions, if required lifestyle advice

What do I need to do ahead of the nutritional consultation?

You will be sent an online questionnaire to complete ahead of your consultation. This provides valuable information to our Nutritional Therapist ahead of your appointment. You will need to include information about any medications and supplements you’re taking as well as completing a food diary. You will also need to agree to our Terms and Conditions.

Who is our nutritional therapist??

Bethany is a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.

After experiencing her own health challenges with chronic fatigue syndrome, hormonal acne, eczema, digestive issues and much more, she took control of her own wellbeing and made diet and lifestyle changes which turned her health around. As part of her wellbeing journey she retrained to be a Nutritional Therapist, completing a diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition at CNM London.

Bethany has worked with individuals with a range of skin conditions and wider health issues and supported them to make realistic and sustainable diet and lifestyle changes which have a positive impact on their wellbeing.

Bethany takes a holistic approach, understanding that while the food we eat can have a huge impact on how we feel and look, it’s only one piece of the picture.

‘My journey has taught me that you need to take a holistic and personalised approach to wellbeing. I help my clients to tackle not only their diet and eating habits, but also lifestyle factors which they may not even realise are impacting their health.’
