Apply gently to cleansed face and neck. Supercharge with few drops of your prescribed Adaptology serum.

Chaga is a fungus that grows on birch trees. Chaga is bristling with biochemical defenders because of its precarious life as an uninvited guest. You can spot it a mile off as birch bark is white and chaga is black. The reason being that chaga is packed with UV-blocking melanin. Chaga is also richer in antioxidants than superfood berries. Chaga’s adaptogens make it a valued ingredient in traditional medicine. And more recently skincare. Chaga provides protection against temperature variations, helps restore the skin barrier layer, reduce any signs of redness and sensitivity, strengthen capillaries and reduce persistent redness.

The results: in studies people using this chaga extract reported it ‘as effective as a five-day relaxation cure” in mitigating fatigue lines, dark circles and dullness. 85% perceived a health benefit for their skin and 91% reported increased skin comfort.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) provides effective hydration. This clear gloopy substance is naturally produced by your body to keep cell tissues moist so you have bags of it already in your skin and eyes. Topping this up is hugely beneficial. The one problem with just adding it topically is it can sit on the surface. This creates a breathable surface barrier. But doesn't get deep into the skin. So in our formulations we also use Low molecular weight HA to plump the skin and smooth wrinkles. Along with Very Low molecular weight HA to go deeper into the skin with its hydration therapy.

Good things come in threes. Especially in our Adaptogen Protection Complex. Ection. Wild Indigo. Ashwagandha. All three help to protect your skin, and they work wonders as a skin superhero team. Ashwagandha is a powerhouse packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that help protect the skin against UV light and environmental pollutants. Wild Indigo is the calming influence that breaks down cortisol from stress and protects skin against damage. Ection is the survivor which protects and restores your skin barrier to help regulate hydration.

The results: Our Adaptogen complex defends against pollution, UV, blue light and stress-related ageing.

We recommend using a one finger scoop of this organic moisturiser per application.

How should I store this product?

This product is housed in a fully recyclable glass jar with plastic lid, which looks beautiful stored anywhere from your bedside table to your bathroom shelf. We use Miron UV glass to protect our amazing natural actives and ingredients and allow your product to have a longer shelf life.

However we do recommend keeping them away from direct sunlight, such as on a windowsill, as this may cause the product to evaporate or melt.

How do I recycle the packaging when I'm finished?

The glass jar is recyclable.

"My skin is mature but also sensitive. In my experience a lot of moisturisers that are designed for sensitive/reactive skin leave a shiny, oily finish on the skin because it's assumed that dryness is part of the problem. Not always. This moisturiser is light and fresh to use, and it leaves a satin (not a shiny) finsih on the skin - perfect for under make-up. It has a delicate, fresh, natural aroma."

Was not expecting anything special

"Was not expecting anything special from trying a sample of the Red Avert moisturiser but I'm pleased to say that I was wrong! Applying a small blob onto an irritated patch of skin on my face, instantly calmed & soothed it. This hardly happens when I try other sensitive skin moisturisers. This moisturiser has helped to calm down any irritation on my face, whilst also keeping it soft & feeling moisturised throughout the day. It has a lovely light & comforting chocolatey, fragrance which doesn't affect my sensitive skin. I loved using it & had to buy a jar of it, once I finished the sample! Also thrilled that it doesn't have shea butter in it, which I can find in many moisturisers. Thank you for creating this, Adaptology! :-)"
